I am currently trying to test this system's stability. Although it passes LinX 20 passes at full memory problem size, it will consistently fail Prime95 about 4+ hours in. I suspect it may have to do with the IMC, as individually these sticks all pass HCI (non-deluxe).
The computer config is:
Intel i7-3960x @ 4.8ghz
Asus Rampage IV Extreme
64gb Crucial Ballistix Sport @ 1600 mhz 9-9-9-24-2N
Samsung 830 256gb SSD
Booting off the CD for HCI memtest, it seems to be very slow in its % coverage process. On average it makes 1% coverage progress per hour. At this rate, to check all 64gb of memory to 100%, it'd take a little bit more than 4 days, and to 1000% coverage, more than a month. (41 days?)
I have set it to just boot to CD and I haven't issued any commands, and it automatically starts testing the memory. Is it not using all the cores/threads to test the memory? Is there commands which I need to issue to make it go faster? I recall it being faster to do so in Windows 7 with the free version using 17 separate processes checking ~3500mb each - roughly from 400% to 140% coverage depending on process after 28 hours. Currently this is progress a little bit over 17 hours in -
