Anything more then 20* = BAD
As long as your not mounting at really odd angles like 45* or something, you're in the clear I do believe. I remember a guy who did a plexiglass mod, and wanted to mount his hard drive at like a 35* angle, he started having problems with it and changed it to vertical mounting I do believe.
