I overclocked my q6600 to 3.2ghz usings 400mhz*8 with a 1.320 voltage. After I put my computer to sleep and try to turn it back on the monitor will not give me a signal for some reason and I have to shutdown the computer down and restart it for it work again. Im running it on prime 95 for 10 hours now and getting 59c,56c.56c,59c temperatures on the CPU. Just wondering if theres something I can do to fix this.

Is 12 hours enough to determine if its stable?

Yes 12 hours would for sure indicate stability.
As far as the restarting from sleep mode.
Is the operating system fully updated?

@ mobster281: At any chance, do you have a Gigabyte P35/X38 mobo, or what kind of sleep state is configured in the BIOS ?
Please put your rig in the sig !

If you are using ATI Tray Tools, or whatever it is called..... that might be causing the problem.

(It did that to me, anyway)

Exit ATI tray tools, and then try to suspend, or sleep, or whatever.

Its an ABIT Ip35pro

I have a 500w Thermaltake Power supply
Evga 8800gts
q6600 slacr
Western Digital 500gb sata
Tuniq Tower

I have this problem sometimes...i have no idea how to really fix it. However apon messing around with poweroptions in vista i have been able to fix it sometimes

Sleep and standby is the same thing right?

When I go standby, my case fans and lights remain on, is this normal?

And OP, no idea but I'll search online a bit. Do you have a CRT? Do you turn the monitor off after you put the system to sleep?

Try turning the power off to your monitor, then back on. I have one monitor that has done that since new, my others work as expected. Odd, but it just works that way.

i had the same issue with the ip35 pro. i think its inherent to that board. i tried every bios and every conceivable possible fix but it would never reliably wake from standby. i swapped it out with the maximus formula and my standby problems went away.
