I needed a fresh install of windows on my toshiba laptop. I gave my cousin the laptop, and he installed windows 7. Everything is working fine, except for the fact that my resolution is stuck at 1024 x 768 (and can only go lower)... everything is stretched out and looks terrible.

they have display drivers on toshiba's website. I downloaded them, then extracted them, clicked on whatever popped up but nothing really happened.. nothing shows up on device manager.

is there anything specific I should look out? how do I know the drivers were installed properly?

laptop is a toshiba l655, with windows 7 x64. Thank you for any help

Well I try to reinstalling the display drivers again and then restarting, because you probably won't get new resolutions until you restart.

intel graphics? download the latest from intel and see how they work compared to the toshiba site's driver.
