My mother in law purchased a Viewsonic VX900 for her system.

It is about 1 week old (from Newegg, sure hope I dont have to RMA this, big $$$ shipping and restocking fee) and now she is having problems with it, I havent used an LCD monitor before so I dont know how to fix this one.

When she powers the monitor on, it works normal for about 30 minutes and then the screen starts to shake and then double screen and then go black. Shutting the monitor off and then back on a few minutes later only results in 2 vertical bright white lines.

Turning the monitor off and unhooking the display cable and power cable for about an hour will get the monitor back to "normal" for about 30 minutes again. The monitor does this both with the DVI and VGA cables that came with it.

System is: M7NCD-Pro, 1700+XP, Radeon 9200

Any ideas as to what is the problem here?
