Having problems mountin scythe ninja plus heatsink

The mounting clips does not reach the retention plate and there is a big gap as well. Im using an asus a8n sli premum motherboard. Ive removed the white plastic from the heat plate which im left with the black adhesive. Have i done something wrong here?

You have to PUSH them down until they lock in, that's the whole idea.... :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
 
It wont. I know how you feel, I was the same way with mine. Just give it a good push and it will all snap into place. The gap looks about right without pushing the clips down. Nothing to worry about, and JUST MOUNT THAT BABY :D

lol ninja was an easy install for me, juss force that shit down! :D
 
I'll bet its like sex the first time. Scary - will be getting my cherry popped when Si-128 arrives. :D
 
AHHHHHHHHH, Its popped into place now im enjoying my 4800 x2 and its runnin at 28 degrees idle - WOW thats better then any heatsink ive ever had

My thumbs hurt - oucchhh

Excellent choice..I have mine paired with a 89cfm Aerocool and it keeps my 4400+ at a nice 29c idle. :cool:
