Having problems installing video card.

I just bought a used GTX 480 and I can't get it to install flush. The front of the connector, where the PCIe release is slips right in, but the back portion won't go all the way in, making the card not flush. Also, the two metal pieces on the bracket don't seem to be going through the case wall either. I've tried all possible PCIe slots on my board and I kinda feel like an idiot right now, but my GTX 260 cards just slide right in without this problem.

Anyone have any suggestion? Could the card be warped? :confused:

Is your motherboard too far forward? Usually if you loosen all the screws, there is a decent amount of room for it to move back/forth.
 
Yeah that fixed it, but now I have a new problem!

So GPU-Z is reporting my card as PCIe 2.0 x16 @ x8 2.0 and 30 seconds or so later it changes to PCIe x16 @ x8. I have nothing installed other than the 480 (top slot) and I've tried using the 3rd PCIe on my board as well as reseating the card. I also checked the gold fingers and cleaned them off, but I'm still getting the same result. I reinstalled a GTX 260, and it shows up as PCIe 2.0 x16@ x16 2.0, so now I don't know what to think. What else can I try??
