Having problems booting from HDD after Windows installation

Hey,

So, my Seagate 40GB is recognized by BIOS. Mobo is a Biostar t-6100. I have the HDD as master on the first IDE channel, followed by a floppy as slave. Second IDE channel = two CDROM drives. I booted from the Windows CD just fine, and formatting and file-copying went normal. After I rebooted, however, the boot screen just gets stuck with a blinking underscore. No abnormal boot messages, just the normal spam of detected hardware (everything was detected) and then nothing. I went to boot menu to make sure I was booting from the HDD, and everything checked out. Why am I not able to boot from it? Is there anything else you need from me to help you answer this question?

Thanks,
JS

I know they USED to be around but you've got a fully 40 pin IDE floppy drive.

Try unplugging all other drives with the execption of the harddisk (Including the floppy). then trying to boot.
