I am trying to boot up my Z68-MAG45 with a 3770K. However I am only getting four beeps and then the computer resets. I know its the timer not operational error code. I have checked all my power connectors, swapped the ram around, and reset CMOS still nothing. Any ideas as to what else I can do? I am planning on trying a another PSU tomorrow just to check, but I don't have another 1155 motherboard or CPU to check this with.

according to AMI, 4 beeps mean the timer is not operational and the motherboard is bad.

on another thread, someone posted that it could be 2 fast beeps repeated? in that case they said it was the video.

You need another cpu to check if the bios supports that cpu.

the i7-3770k support was added in bios version 7676vK0, which was released on 5-18-2012.

There's cheap G530's out there for <$40. You can sell it when you're done with it. I don't have a spare, otherwise I'd loan it to you.
