So, I've been running three ViewSonic VG2230wm monitors in eyefinity for about a year now with no problems. today, I boot up my computer and one of my screens is magically 640x480 max resolution. I figure, reboot, right? Wrong. Driver update? Still doesn't fix it. Think it's my monitor or maybe its my driver? I can get it to 1680x1050 but thats only expanding the 640x480 so it looks like crap.

It sounds like the monitor stopped reporting a valid EDID. Try shutting down the computer and unplugging the monitor's power cable for a minute, then plug it back in and turn the computer back on. That might reset the monitor. If that doesn't work, the EDID is probably corrupted.

or you could also go into the CCC and go to monitor properties and check to make sure everything is the way it should be for the monitor in question.

for me its under the tab-my digital flat panels you might find something not right in here :p

Another thing it could possibly be, is one of the adapters in question is flaking out i.e the active to dvi adapter or something. hopefully its just the CCC that got confused and not the monitor or one of the ports on the gpu.

?could also try one of the other ports on the gpu itself, maybe it just does not want to use the one its on anymore.

*Drops to one knee* Will you...marry me?
Seems the EDID got redumbded. Did what you said and it fixed it.

Here's the rundown with the kicker
Left monitor is the one with the active DisplayPort to DVI adapter and is the one that randomly snows green.
Center monitor is flawless except for the thing it did today.
Right monitor got punched in the frame by mohammed ali during shipping, which broke the buttons and the led(i think a connection is loose inside, w/e)

So the monitor that is in the best shape decided today it wanted to be stupid. lol

With all that damage to your monitors, please tell me at least one monitor has duct tape or black electrical tape holding something together. They won't work unless you put some tape on them.
