I have a Westinghouse 42 inch LCD I have been using for a few years now for my main display. I have been reading up on the NVIDIA 3d goggles and after seeing a demo I am pretty well hooked on them. I was looking at some of the new LCD TVs out there and the only real requirement is 120Hz. The problem I was having up until today was that some of the brands, and even just some of the specific models of different brands don't allow you to shut off the post processing, so even if you have everything set up right, the color scheme would be way off. Anyone out there have a favorite that meets thses requirements? Anyone with the 3d glasses have any opinions?

The reason I said I was set on this until today was because I have finally seen the DELL 30 inch LCD monitors in action. The resolution difference is just jaw dropping, and the larger resolution makes things incredible. I still wanted to go with the TV and glasses (L4D with it turned on is insane, LOL), but after seeing the smaller screen at high res it has thrown some smoke into the decision making process. /sigh :confused:
 
Good thing you didn't pull the trigger. 120hz TVs don't take true 120 hz input signals. The only current true120hz displays for PCs are the 22 inch 1680x1050 monitors by Viewsonic and Samsung.

If you are going for large screen gaming on the PC in ultra-high resolution, the 30" 2560x1600 Displays are probably the best for your needs.
 
Well hell... That kills my day all together. No way am I going to downsize my display past a 30 inch. I just checked the glasses site and there are some TVs that do it now, but they start at 60 inch and the price tags are a definite kill switch. Thats what I get for not reading up on them before making a purchase. Can you imagine how crazy I would have been had I bought the regular TV and tried to hook the glasses up to them? For some reason I thought the display demo for the glasses was using a 32 inch screen. Guess I was waaaaay off, lol.

Now I guess its down to a new 40 inch with a deeper black field or the 30 inch DELL. Super high res has never really been the draw for me. The picture quality is what does it for me. Guess I need to take a good hard look at the candidates in person.
