Is it possible to have a Logitech mx700 and logitech mediaplay mouse (both cordless) installed at the same time. I use the mx700 for gaming, but would use the mediaplay mouse for everything else. Could I just switch from using one to the other without rebooting or having to unplug one or the other?

I had two mice plugged in and working before. One was a PS/2 and the other was on a USB. I just wanted to see if it could be done. That was back in '99 on Win 98.

I don't know if the cordless mice will interfere with each other. Try it, you won't break anything.

You can probably put each mouse on a different channel under Mouse properties or maybe the software included. Just make sure the transmitters aren't near each other, or near speakers and the like.

I tried having two wireless Logitech mice connected and found they would interrupt each other even on different channels. If I would move them both at the same time, the mouse didn't move. If I was moving one, then moved another at the same time, the pointer would freeze.

Likewise, I could have two wireless mice on the same brand on two different computers within range of each other. It would do the same thing. I don't know if this will happen with you, but that's my experience.

I keep two mice plugged in when I game a mx510 on usb and a cheapo mouse on PS/2

I have a wired trackball usb and a wireless microsoft mouse usb. I dont think the trouble would be the usb. I think any interference will be the wireless recievers being the same frequency.
