Have I reached the limit?

This is my first attempt at overclocking and I have been tinkering with it now for a month or two. I managed to get my XP2500 Barton from 1.831GHz to 2.266GHz @1.74V. My temps under load are in the upper 50'sC with an ambient room temp steady at 22C.

It seemed stable running both prime95 and folding all day. Lately it has unable to run either program and I have been getting random restarts. I turned my FSB down from 215 to 200 and have had no troubles. Anyone have suggestions on what the problem could be?

Here are my specs....

Abit NF7-S v2.0 nVIDIA
Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton" (1831MHz) @2266MHz 1.775V
WD IDE 80G 7200RPM 8M Cashe
WD IDE 40G 7200RPM
ATI Radeon 9200 128M AGP8X
2 Geil Value Series 512MB DDR PC-3200
Sony 1.44Mb floppy drive
52X32X52 CD RW
G4 Atlas ATX-Midi case
CoolerMaster Aero 7+ w/generic compound
8 case fansDF1208SM
@-Power 430W PSU EP-43057

Im not no OC king or anything so.........

Did you notice any increase in temps?

Thats probably why your OC went bad, I guess it couldn't handle the increased temps. Maybe get some better cooling on it or cool your room better because if it was fine before your room probably caused it..

Change the cooler and the compound. Get the Thermalright SP97 and some AS5
