Okay, right now I have a 15 inch Emachines Eview17p CRT monitor and its max res. 1280X1024, and for Christmas i'm
getting a 19 inch Sony LCD Monitor withDVI Input,12ms response time, and a native 1280X1024 resolution. I was wondering if this new monitor would be a large improvement in gaming. Your guys' opinions are greatly appreaciated!

only possible issues would be ghosting and resolution scaling. both of which are minor; assuming you can play your games at 1280x1024 w/o lag and assuming your not some pro FPS gamer who can detect the subtle ghosting modern LCDs apparently have youll be fine. i dont see ghosting at all and i dont even run my screen at its native res and it looks great.

it's hard to tell a big difference sometimes, depends on the monitor, but before I got my dual DVI 6600GT, I only had one DVI so the second LCD was on VGA and when they were side by side, it was a HUGE difference - color on the VGA was all washed out and greyish
