The set of power users and the set of users who don't use keyboard shortcuts are completely disjoint, so your point is null.

Your comment has got me thinking. Personally I rarely use kb shortcuts as my left arm is always resting when using the mouse.

I use the kb when typing, some games etc. but when doign things like using multimedia apps, browsing, computer maintenance its mouse only.

Windows 8 seems to be designed in a way to penalise mouse users and its arguable microsoft now maybe want the mouse gone.

does classicshell fix these UI issues?

Pfft. I don't need no Shell icon to get to the Control Panel and command prompt. Windows-X has those built in.
 
If a windows and it opens in W8 style (i.e. a settings window), I then close it by dragging it to bottom I get back to Metro screen instead of Classic Shell. How do I set it to go back to Classic Shell directly?
