I'm building a computer for my brother using the new i5-4590 and probably a pretty basic B85 mobo to save money since he doesn't require any bells and whistles and won't be overclocking. My quest is: will a B85 board be compatible with this new CPU? I've read that it might need a BIOS update to support the new Haswells, but that means I need an older 1150 socket CPU to update the BIOS, which I don't have. I don't really want to spend the extra money on a H/Z97 board, as those funds can be used elsewhere in the build, namely for a video card. So help me out.
