Haswell E press packet leaked.

Could be a fake due to the different fonts used in the slides compared to what I've usually seen, and considering a Haswell-E engineering sample was recently de-lidded showing twelve cores and 25MB (?) L3 cache, I'm leaning towards shens.

But what do I know? I'm just an enthusiast on the sidelines. :p

Hmm, still seems like the 4970k would be a better gaming option with 4.4 vs 3.5 ghz on the new CPUs. I know the new drivers are supposed to make it less CPU intensive, might be good for ripping blurays and such

Absolutely. But if you want to game, encode a video, record video, and stream at the same time like I plan to do...8 cores at 5ghz might just be enough. :)

Edit: I think that's the first picture I've seen of an x99 Asus mobo that looks production ready.
