about to do a upgrade in the next few weeks mainly because im wanting better performance in guild wars 2, im getting pretty decent frames during normal play but when events start happening my frames drop down badly into single digit territory, i know my gf card is pretty good and not the problem since some guildies have lower end cards and dont have the framerate drop that i do. my current build is about 3 years old (phenom 2 x4 955BE) and im planning on doing a new mobo and cpu either FX 8350 w/Sabertooth mobo or a Haswell 4670k w/Maximus VI Hero. so my question is does anyone with either cpu (board doesnt matter to me as much) played gw2 during any of the recent events with large group of players doing the zerg thing? what kind of frames are you getting? i checked you tube but nothing on there is showing anything recent most are about 8 months old or older and those arent reflective of the current state of the game or hardware drivers that have shown improvements, plus everyone seems to think lions arch is a good test but there arent nearly as much particle effects or activity going on in towns as there is during a outdoor raid or event. thx for any help you can give.
P.S. I posted in both here and amd since their both so divided and wanted to get genuine opinions from people that have the actual hardware.
