Has anyone seen this?

yea i wonder how fast (as in performance, disregarding clockspeed) an A64 will get with a set up like that when fully stable too
but think of all the power is going into cooling the cpu...

wow, damn, oh shit, cool, holly shit, wtf. damn that is one crazy watercooling there. i want that. :D :) :D

That would suck to take out of the house for some Lan gaming at a friends. :D

This is phase change buddy.

But yeah that is pretty intense stuff right there. I wonder how long his hardware is gonna last being so cold. Especially on the vid card. all that ice all over it.

man some people are just crazy when it comes to overclocking. Is it really worth it?
still cool though

661mhz on the 9800XT...lol I'd like to see some benchies with that bad boy. Tell him to fire Sandra up! :D

I doubt that he actually runs his setup like that all the time. I think he just does it to max out the hardware for fun, and break some records!!!

i wonder, how he will defrost, his board etc??? hmm cant keep at at -103 forever right?

i think just leave it on a paper towel so it soaks up water as it thaws over a couple of days...maybe not that long

Over-kill.

And to my understanding, this functions just like a fridge; then why did he build the whole thing himself?? Could have just bought two small freezers and taken them apart for the cooling devices.

See this is what computing is coming to. None of you understand that he's doing this because he's just a geek and, well, he hasn't done it and he's learning and having fun. I guess some of you kids will never know what being a geek is (or knowing that it's not a lame thing).

Yup. There is no such thing as "overkill" to a geek. It's certinally worth it, at least it would be to me.

Who needs a reason to do anything, anyway? In the long run, does it matter if your 3.0 ghZ processor is running at stock speeds, or 5 ghZ? Will it affect anything besides his frame rate or 3d mark score? Probably not. Would I do it? In a second.

Hell i just thought it was cool that he made all the shit himself and didn't know a damn thing about it untill he was done. Very impresive, very sweet results.

I have to say there is a lack of [H]ardness in most of these forums now a days...

But what do you expect when you can buy everything pretty much retail these days. I still want to do water cooling and make my own rig from scratch hehe.

Everything geek must be [H]ard or its just not geek, you cant be [H]ard without being a geek! I'm not as crazy as this guy but I consider myself slightly excessive when I tinker with things.
