has anyone played the full game, i know there are ppl that work for software and hardware companies here and i hope no one posted this already but yeah, is it really that scary?
 
Those people are under strict NDA, so if they post about it they lose their jobs or their company.
 
Yeah I'm sure Id is searching this forum for employees of associated companies that talk about doom3...

When someone goes elsewhere and says: Look, someone posted about doom3! and it gets seen, THEN they know.
 
Well I've played it and let me tell you, it's not as good as people make it out to be. It's just mediocre, though uber-polished, fps. Nothing special here folks.

1. You're dumb for mentioning ILLEGAL material
2. It doesn't represent anything about the final product.

B. You're a beta tester, in which case: Good job breaking NDA. Welcome to lawsuit world.
C. You're lying through your teeth.

Well, I'm not under NDA, and I know of none involved, so here goes:

A friend of mine played it up at id about 2 weeks ago for 3 hours. He said it was mindblowing...
 
Um.. why ask this question when PC Gamer did a FULL REVIEW OF THE GAME already. They gave it a 9/10 if I remember.. someone else here knows more about the review then me.

The only people allowed to talk about the game are those who have been approved by iD.

1) If you got it as a beta tester, you would have something better than 512MB RAM and a 9500
2) If you're talking about the alpha, as someone else mentioned, you're just a moron
3) If you're just trying to get attention, good job, you solicited 2 or 3 extra posts from other people

That isn't necessarily true. When you’re selected as a beta tester they don’t just choose you because you have a high end machine; they like to test things on all shapes and sizes to see how it performs.
 
Kyle said that the GF4 MX boxes were at id and that they were testing on them so they don't use all highend card....that would be stupid.
 
Generally, during beta tests, developers are far more interested in a variety of higher-end hardware, ie. ATi, nVidia, and even Matrox cards, than getting a full spectrum of low-to-high-end hardware. The reason is for bug testing, gameplay issues (like multiplayer imbalance stuff, for example), and compatibility with major brands. The bulk of low-end hardware testing is done in-house to work more closely with the programmers. So that guy's claim is looking even more doubtful.

Hey, that reminds me. I had a Doom 3 dream as well. I was the "marine", although I wasn't a marine. Anyway, at first I had no weapons and was just running around, and thankfully, there were no enemies. I eventually found some dude, who gave me a revolver and a couple boxes of assorted bullets, which I put in my pockets. Now armed, I went around shooting demons only it was a pain in the ass because every 6 shots I needed to go around a corner, dig through my pockets for the right bullets, and then load them individually into the gun.

After doing this for a while, I came upon a small room that was reminded me of a stone chamber within a church or some other holy place. I saw this glass container to the left of me, and picked it up and opened it. I remember the inside smelled like spices, and I had a sense it was something I needed to use on some bad guy.

All of a sudden, I notice this monk guy standing in the room with me, only he's an evil monk because he tells me that this glowing curvy blue stick he's holding steals souls. Then he charges me with it. Fucker is fast, too, and I can't outrun him so he keeps stabbing me with this stick. I threw the contents of the glass contianer at him; nothing. I tried to shoot him, only my revolver was empty and I didn't have enough time to dig through my pockets and reload the gun. Every time he hit me I saw my life bar going down, and right when I only had a sliver left I woke up.

I was a bit scared but not quite freaking out, so I went back to sleep pretty quickly and was back in the dream. This time, though, I decided that I was no longer going to use a revolver because of the damn reloading and so I chose a new weapon: a bow and arrows. Yes, I was going to take on all of hell's demons with a bow and arrow...good thing I woke up because I'm going to guess that dream wouldn't have ended too well either. I definitely need to work on lucid dreaming...
 
I had a D3 dream too, I was getting it on with a bunch of hot chicks.....wait that has nothing to do with D3 sort of like this thread. :D

Well ladies I'm ready for D3. I just got done with a clean install. I have all the updated drivers installed so I should be lock'd and cock'd. Bring on hell. :)

not that i'm condoning that sort of activity... I've spent money on every id product since commander keen and it won't change for doom3 certainly
