Has anyone heard of the Kef 100 speaker system. Its been out a while now but i just got to listen to its sound quality recently. Basically for all who dont know its 2 speakers that produce Amazing sound quality at 5.1 surround. This is definately what you should have if playing games or watching a film - the sound quality i would say is better then the theatres.

What do you guys think of it? Below is a pic of it...

However it does cost alot retailling at around £1400 or in dollars about $2000 i would say. If you got this kind of money to blow on this speaker system - A must for me. :D

For those who do own this i would like to see some pics of their setup, cheers

yeh but the sound comes out at 5.1 surround as it bouncess off walls and some new technology in it or sommit

Your right though it is very expensive

Amazing sound quality? What are you basing the sound quality off of? I mean Bose soundquality will sound amazing relative to built-in TV speakers but that doesn't mean they are of absolute sound quality.

I'm always weary of products that claims to output 5.1 sound in a 2.1 set-up.

For 2k, I would much rather invest in a Denon receiver, some nice Paradigm Monitor series speakers, and an HSU sub.

Personally, if you're truly serious about getting good audio fidelity out of a system, it's better to not get something based off of a gimic. High end audio is VERY straight forward.

If all you want is computer speakers, I hear that the M-Audio Studiophile LX4 2.1's are very good (not loud like the Z5500 but very true and accurate), and you can buy the optional kit to transform it into a 5.1. They're still quite expensive but MUCH less than the system you posted.
