that's on sale at Tiger as a candidate for a case mod?

I was looking through their site as I do from time to time and I saw it on sale today for lik $180 and I thought it might be a nice candidate for modding.

I checked around the web for specs on the unit and it is supposed to be 19"x18"x13.5" so I started mocking up what may need to be done with it, and came up with the following:

It normally looks like:
L96-1000-call08-ro.jpg

and
L96-1000-call12-ro.jpg

I'm gonna have to think on it some more, but I think I would be able to fit 5-6 HDDs in there as well as the PSU and a M-ATX motherboard.

i wouldnt pay $$$s of dollars for a perfectly good heater to tear apart.. however i will keep on the lookout a broken one of those.. would seem to me a wood case would be very quiet..

The way that you have it currently set up might have air flow issues. Moving the screen up means your intake and exhaust are both on the top of the case, which creates a dead zone in the bottom... just something to consider.
