I did it awhile ago, but never took pics of it. My room is right next to the attic and there was a cable jack near my computer that wasnt being used. I drilled holes for the hoses and ran the radiator out into the attic. Worked great during the cold months, the attic isnt insulated so it would get pretty cold in there. I was down to around 30c load. Now its not so great since spring is here, sorry for the crappy pics

My computer is about 2 feet away from an openable window. I want to run some hoses that go from the outside to the an intake fan on my case.

I'd love to do this, and even if I setup quite a few filters, it would still cause condensation i'm pretty sure.

Too bad though, because it gets down to -20c in the Winter here. If I ran -20c air into my case.... that'd sure do a hell of a lot for cooling :D (although it'd also make my room cold as hell unless I exhausted back outside.

I WOULD have condensation issues, right?

yes, you probably would get condensation on the outside of your case, and filters wouldn't do anything to help.

That... is some ghetto MacGyver stuff right there.

Props.

Also, to the above, the filters would probably be used to keep from sucking in flies :p

To beat condensation, you must make sure that no air can get into your case. There's that much water in the air that first into a case to cause any serious threats, but with the air exhange you get access to all the moisture in the room.

No, for he following reasons: The cold air from outside is _not_ saturated with water. For safety reasons, let's assume thet it is.

Second fact: When you warm air, its capacity for water increases.

Third fact: When cold air is pushed into a computer case, it meets only components warmer than itself, not cooler.

When combined, these three facts spell this: The cold air would theoretially prevent any condensation you mght be getting from a pelt system or whatever in there.

In other words, go for it!
