I used to live in california where they have Fry's computer store--kind of like the costco or sam's club of computers. Is there anything similar on the east coast particularly in the DC area?

i just moved from silver spring..

umm... there is a comp usa on rockville pike.. there is also a small store there, it wasn't too great..

i went to one called advance2000 in alexandria va.. it is like the cheap generic crap.. but they have good prices for a walk in store.. chinese peopel run it, one of those types of places..

also.. in i think beltsville or near there, there is a place called pcretro.. they have some decent deals on used stuff.. especially if you want a pIII with a 20gb hard drive and 256mb of ram for $100...

both advance2000 and pcretro have websites...

the only chain store i know of is compusa though

I live not too far from DC myself and there is a real shortage of good PC stores in this area, unfortunately.
CompUSA? ...
