Does everyone's firefox crash upon opening 50 tabs ?
...is there something with my ram ? How can I check ?
See "lappy" in my sig for computer info.
 
can you make it do it every time? I cannot think why you need 50 tabs you can not even read labels of anyways :)

what if you open 2 windows with 25 tabs each

inside winow = 42 tabs

I was just trying to repeat the error but i guess it did not work ... grrrr

Does it only happen upon the opening of the "Mozilla Firefox has captured information it needs to improve...yadayadayada" dialog box? If so, it might be a corrupted area of the program. Try Memtest and maybe reinstalling your browser.
 
that's allot of tabs.. anyways.. does it happen in other applications or just firefox? did you think about testing your memory?

umm thats the wizzard that pops out once the program crashes
 
Well here are the results from running the mem test for about 3 hours (notice that its recomended that you do it for 20min)

Given that this is not a memory problem, does anyone have an idea on what I could do so that I dont get this error any more ?

Just because the memory tests pass does not mean it's not memory. I've seen systems pass every piece of diag software you can throw at them yet have bad hardware. That said, run a full system diags - everything - if you haven't already. Overclocking? Bring it back down - at least to see if that's what's causing it. Run stress tests - sometimes these can make problems surface faster than diags. Don't forget about the PSU and fans. And then there's always software to contend with which can be worse than troubleshooting hardware.

In my experience with mem ref errors, the problem is usually software, memory, motherboard, or HDD.

Oh and 50 tabs? Geeze man. 5 times in one year? Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about it. Or maybe just reinstall if it bothers you that much. GL.

this is happening on my laptop
so there is no overclocking or modding in any fashion
the laptop is about a year old
and hasnt given me any problems

all those tabs were of images I was trying to download ...


i reinstalled fire fox
that did not help

im leaning towards that this is a hard drive problem ...
lately i have some trouble deleting some files from my download folder, shift + del does not do a damn thing, and norton's wipe info cannot delete the files no matter what settings I put on.

I should just format my laptop, and reinstall windows... i imagine that that will be a pain in the arse...
