Does anyone have or know the current hardware prices roadmap
I am going to build a new computer. I am not sure to do it now or wait till after the new year hoping for somekind of price reduction in cpus and ram.
Unlike most of you, gaming performance and and video card bandwidth is not the most important thing to me ... I am more concerned with cpu bandwidth and the right motherboard
The computer will be used for 3d and rendering
If I would buy one today, I am leading towards a dual opteron. It doesnt have to be a dual system but I am told of how great it is for these types of systems
It also doesnt need to be Amd but I am not to sure of any affordable dual Intel systems
So I guess I am asking for your input on two topics
- anyone have or know the current hardware prices roadmap ... will it be best to wait after the new year
- building a system for 3d and rendering ... is dual the way to go, is Amd the only affordable dual setup ... will there be dual a64 soon, what does Intel have to offer
