My parent's computer is poessed.

Ok, whenever I'm playing a intensive game on this computer, the computer will completly hardlock. I first thought it was the Hard drive as it was doing the click of death, so I replaced it and that didn't fix it. I then thought it was the IDE 2 Controller b/c it would usually freeze when the CD ROMS would spin up and sound like they were on a stickshift (Whiirrrrrr...click..whirrrr...click). So I threw a Promise IDE ATA/133 TX2 in, that still didn't fix it. The only thing I can thing of now, is that the PSU is bad.

The PSU was replaced by a local computer store here while I was away at school, and they put a "Powerline" 500W PSU in it. Can someone read my rails and tell me if I need to replace the PSU with something quality (ie name brand).

CPU Core voltage: 1.84V (I upped the voltage on this)
CPU I/O Voltage: 1.53V (this seems low to me)
+5V: 4.84
+12V: 12.403
-12V: -11.370
-5V: -4.152

Does this sound like a power supply issue? The computer only locks durring intensive stuff like The Sims or Command and Conquer Generals.

5V rail is down a bit, but not seriously low. Most (if not all anymore) MBds use the 12V rail to power the CPU. When was the last time you did a FULL re-install of the OS & drivers? Maybe something in there is screwed.. Also, you OCing the CPU? Try running everything at stock and see if that helps. Check IRQs, make sure the video card & sound aren't trying to share the same IRQ..

Otherwise, call a priest, as your machine may be possessed. :)
