harddrive not full

when i formatted my new 160gig HD it said something about it would not be full untill certain drivers were installed or something. How do I get the ~40g that werent initially in the partition?
 
but is there a way to add the extra space without making another partition? i have SP2
 
As soon as you install the chipset drivers it should show in your disk management. (at least it did for me)
