Ok so building my computer, and i need some sugestions

I am right now going to put two 250wd's in raid 0 for my game/storage.....Now should i buy a small harddrive for Vista? Would it be safer if i did that? Would it be faster too since the os dosnt have to run on the drive with all the other games/soft.....

It would be faster to install Vista on your striped array versus a single drive.

Just make regular backups. (which you should do regardless of RAID)

by backups, you mean system restore or like backup onto a giant external hd?

I mean keep COPIES of your important files somwhere other than inside your computer.
if that's CDR or DVDR or external thumbdrive or hard drive, pick one but back ups are a must regardless.

If your hard drive fails (RAID or not) or your computer is stolen or struck by lighting, it's important (IMHO) to be able to get your stuff back.
That does not neccessarily mean backing up Windows and pr0n, but Tax Returns, Quicken files, reusmes, etc is the important stuff.
