Forgive me, I don't quite understand how this works.

I'd like to get a new computer soon. I'm thinking of a SSD but I would need a HDD for capacity. I do have a lot of games I do play on my computer.

Lets say my SSD is drive C:\, where Windows is installed to. I've filled up my SSD. Instead of using my HDD for strictly data, can I mount the drives together through Windows? How would that work from a performance standpoint? I could probably figure out how to mount the drives in Windows through Computer Management, but I'm worried about if this works and the behavior.
 
Wait so you want to combine the SSD and HDD together to show up as one drive?
