I have a Dell Dimension 8300 with 120GB hard drive and a WD 250GB external hard drive which I essentially use for back-up. My 120GB hard drive has 1.03GB left and I believe the sluggishness of my computer is related to that lack of free space. What should I do? Buy a second internal hard drive to increase capacity if I do how do I set it up? I would like it to increase my C drive rather than have yet another drive. How do I set that up master-master rather than master-slave. Can someone help me here.
Thanks Tom

you cant really have a master master setup.

If you add another hard drive you cant easily just expand your c: because to do that you would have to set up either hardware or software raid that would take your 2 hard drives and make them be seen as 1 big hard drive.

Adding a secondary hard drive is fairly simple, just make sure you have an open ide or sata port to hook one up to inside your case before you make any purchases.

I don't understand why you'd want to expand your C drive. The easiest thing would be buy a second internal drive, and use that for storage. As mentioned above the only way to make the C drive larger, without upgrading the original drive, is to make it a raid, but that would be a lot of work.

What should I do?
Delete some of your pr0n :p

That is what I thought!!! But you have reassured me and I will take your advice. I guess it is obvious that I really do not understand how the hard drive works. I just want to create room for the computer to work better.

Dont worry you'll learn as you progress on. Raid is the only way to combine 2 drives into 1
