Hard drives not getting adequate power?

My hard drives whine then click and then my system hard locks when I am playing a game. But I have no issues when I'm on the desktop, running media files, burning DVDs, etc. This occurs with multiple drives, motherboards, memory and CPUs. It also happens with my old PSU (an Enermax 430W).

I am not overclocked and Prime95 and memtest run without errors.

My System is as follows:

Athlon XP 1800+ Barton
1 gig Kingston RAM
ABIT nForce2 MB
ATI X800XL
Benq DVD+RW
WD 120GB 7200rpm (IDE)
WD 160GB 7200rpm (IDE)
WD 320GB 7200rpm (IDE)
Seagate 320GB (SATA)
Seagate 400GB (SATA)
Antec Truepower 550W

I think I have ruled out all other issues, but I would like to make sure before I spend money on a new PSU. If I do need a new PSU, what would be a good one for less than $200 with modular cables if possible. I am not concerned with SLI or quad cores. I just want a PSU that will handle my rig with room for a couple more hard drives in the future.

The HX520 is a good choice. Make sure things aren't too hot in your case, too - that could cause problems with disks.
