Ok so I finally got my pair of 36 Raptors (but still waiting on my cpu so wil not be able to test my system till later this week).
Thus I now have 1- 160gb Maxtor IDE, and 2-36 Raptors which are ESATA. I have the Maxtor up at the second to top HD slot closest to the Primary IDE. Then I spaced out on slot each per Raptor going down the slots in the case. The bottom Raptor is not in the field of the front fans, which kind of alarms me, but I don't really know if sticking both raptors directly on top of another without an open slot space is a good idea. I'm also concerned that the Hds are blocking the air coming into the case and after reading the sticky about not bending SATA cables I just have them loose, which looks very very ugly I might add, espeically with a windowed case.
Does anyone have any advice on the placement of the drives, airflow with similar number of HDs and a way to not have big huge red SATA cables hangin out in the window of the case right under a hot 9800 pro?
