Hard Drive Troubles

I have a computer that has 2 hard drives in it. One hard drive is the one that Windows is installed on it. The other I have been using for storage space. The windows one is 30 GB the other is 60 GB.

I formated the one with windows on it and put windows XP pro back on it. When I did this, windows sees the second drive, but it wont let me access it. It says that the drive must be formatted, but the drive is good. It is a maxtor HD BTW.

Any ideas on how to make windows stop saying that?
 
Run Maxtor's MaxBlast diagnostics on the drive and verify that it is still fit for service. Post back if the utility says that the drive is good to go but you're still having problems.
 
The only MaxBlast programs I can find want me to format the drive and I do not want to do that.
 
Ok, I found what you were talking about. It was called PowerMax. I ran it and says that the HD is fine.

So now what?
 
try im porting the drive under drive management there should be an option to do that.
