Im currently using a matx case and I have the hdd in an enclosure made by icydock in one of the drive bays. Anyway, long story short, the temperature probe on the icydock (which I just have sitting next to the hard drive instead of actually probing anything) is reading 30-41c. Is this too hot? Im debating on whether or not to cut up the enclosure and put a fan on it.
 
Can you get a readout from the temperature sensor in the drive? SpeedFan and Everest Home Edition can read the output from the sensor if the drive has it and the drive is attached to a generic ATA controller.

Its attached to my motherboard... so... hard drives have temperature sensors? I never knew that... >_>.

Anyway, Ill check it out.
