Alrighty, So I have a Western Digital WD1600JB 160 gig Caviar SE 7200 w/ the 8 meg cache. It is my secondary hard drive used for storage. It is almost full and has 15 gigs free. Recently it has been locking up randomly and it sounds like it does when you turn the comptuer off. It clicks once then spins down. The hard drive does get accessed alot and it is by the window. I was looking at the site and it was saying that it needs to be above 5ºC for it to work. I had the window open for a short time and it was abou 7-10ºC outside. So I was thinking that it could be that.

Is my hard drive dying or is it just being fussy?
Any Ideas? TIA?

Shit ass floppy drive that doesn't seem to work anymore.

The hard drive is not screwed down because there is no slot for another hard drive.

Back up your stuff.

It could either be the drive itself acting up, or it could very well be a power problem.
