Hello Everyone--

Does anyone know where to find these rubber screws/feet for hard drives? I haven't had any luck finding these using "HDD Rubber Feet" on good ol' google. Any help is much appreciated.:p

I found something similar over at McMaster-Carr. Not many feet with 6-32 threaded studs.

Any specific height you need? I may have some rubber feet that would work. They have a thru-hole and you can just run a 6-32 screw thru them and into the HDD. Let me know. I can put together a little kit for you. That'd keep you from having to buy 50 of them ;)

A stupid question. Do we really need Hard Drive rubber feet if we don't use HDD for external enclosure?Thanks.

Wow. Thanks guys! Those are exactly what I was looking for.

@CMadki
I was thinking I would only need something to keep my HDD off the floor of my PC case. I would think something around quarter to half an inch would work. Please PM me the details of the kit you were suggesting, I'd appreciate it. I was looking at the site you suggested and it seems the recessed ones only come in a pack of 25 and The ones with the embedded screw is 6 bucks each :eek:. Thats not even including shipping.

@mwroobel
The reid supply had exactly what I needed but the shipping options were the deal breaker. They only had UPS and FedEx for estimated charges. It would cost over 20 dollars shipping for a 2 dollar purchase. :eek: As for the electronic plus site I only saw an option to buy a 1000 pack?! :eek: I believe the drive came from some sort of Samsung external. I snipped the original pic cause I only needed the feet. The original pic is in the Lian Li Q25B thread.

@Elpee
It's not so stupid if you knew what I was doing with it. But you are entitled to your own opinions/assumptions. Thanks for stopping by anyway.

Thanks again for the help guys!:D

At least you said "thanks" :rolleyes: Go be worthless elsewhere.

So you need only 4 feet? I'll have to check the ones I have (100s of them) and see if I can get a #6-32 screw through them. If so I'll send a set on the cheap.

I was thinking about 12 total. I have 2 hard drives I'd like to keep on the bottom of my case and the rest would be for extras. Thanks again!

If you are just using it as a spacer or riser and you don't actually need them to hold tension (like older macbook pro drives) then just use an adhesive foam disc or square such as this which you can get at Staples or a craft store. That is just an example, there are many sizes available.

That is a very valid point MW. I just thought maybe something that would screw into the hdd would be more "secure." (Also I'm not a fan of adhesive stuff they always seem to come off of my stuff :eek:) I will keep looking into it. You guys have pointed me in the right direction. I have a very promising lead right now on a part right now that could be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks again for the help!

Here you go. I've got enough of these little Mil-spec feet and black #6-32 screws to do hundreds of HDDs, haha :)

I go through the trouble of finding, test fitting the rubber feet, snapping a pic and uploading it, offer to send you them at a loss and no response? Some people's kids...
