Hard drive reporting less space than normal.

I have a 200 gig WD Hard Drive. Just last night, I had 70 gigs free. When I powered on my computer this morning, there were only 15 gigs free.
 
run scandisk on xp. it's possible the free space bitmap got damaged, very common, and causes free space to be misreported.
 
Now that I think of it, this happened after I ran chkdsk. How do I scan disk? (I seriously know nothing about hard drives).

edit: googled it. Will try running it tomorrow. Thanks.
