We have a job coming up that will require the purchase of up to 100 external drives. Can anyone direct me to an online store that sells drives for bulk rates or wholesale?

I would contact Amazon and tell them the brand and model you are wanting at that quantity, give them your timeline for aquisition, and see if they can meet it.

Lots of other major etailers that cater to large quantity/business needs, as well.

What about price/drive? Are there options to buying from the same source amazon uses?

You'll have to ask them if they have any bulk quantity discounts on a particular model.

Problem with buying from a direct distributor is most of them are set up to feed massive quantities to multiple retailers at a time, then do it again at agreed upon intervals throughout the year. A quantity of only 100 for a one time shot usually isn't worth their efforts involved. Even if they do agree to it, you'd still likely be near retail pricing per unit since it's not at a quantity level they start discounting at.

Understood - I figured 100 drives is not much in the eyes of the whole seller. Thanks for the input.
