Hard drive problems, need help quick

So i just got a new mobo processor and hard drive. I set it all up, i go to install windows and it loads everything, gets to the screen that gives you the option to install windows repair it or quit. When i choose to install it, it says it cannot find any hard drives. I have an nf7-s and a wd 36gig raptor. so now im on my bro's computer typing this up, and hes getting anxious so i need help as quick as possible. another odd thing is that right after the POST it has a quick screen saying press ctrl alt del to set up raid, and it can see my hard drive.

help appreciated :)
 
It's been awhile since I installed WinXP, but when the startup first begins, there is a prompt to hit a function key (perhaps F2, F5 or F10) to install drivers. Perhaps you need to do this: feed the install a floppy disk with the SATA drivers for your mobo.
 
tryed that, its F6 to install third party SCSI or RAID drivers and F2 for automated system recovery. didnt work. i have no clue as what to do now.
 
im guessing thats what you need to do, mine detected my hd on install though with no special drivers, abit ic-7 board though
 
Perhaps you need to set up a 1-drive RAID array? Unusual, but possible.
