I have just turned my pc on and it ran a beast of a scan disk on my 120gb hard drive (which was full) and now half my folders are missing. However there is about 90GB in the folders below.

Can I recover this information (I assume something has got corrupt ?) Help please theres a lot of info on there that I need.

FOUND.000 <- 60gb
FOUND.001 <- 30gb
RecoveryBin

Thanks so much, I'm despirate, worst case scenario can i get a file list of what was on there, as I cant even rememebr what I've lost.

Many Thanks

Chris

Most likely, you're screwed.

For future reference, now you've found out the hard way why backups are important.

Sorry.

well the "IRONIC" thing is I was actually backing up my pc. As I had another hd die a few months back so i bought a dvdr and was just going for it, burning dvdr after dvdr of data.

Thats when it died.

funnily enough i noiced that a lot of the files are file sizes that i recognise, so i renamed on to the correct extension and it worked. WOOT! however there are a damm lot of em (20,000) but most are like 32kb, which are prob rubbish.

Fingers crossed and all might not be lost.

But damm i nearly cried, 120GB lost, what a disaster that would have been.

Cheers
