i have a 160 gig hard drive. i am going to do a format and install. i want to know how to partition it for os, games, downloads etc. thanks.
 
christ that was a fast reply. thanks. i read the article. should i put my games on a separate partition?
 
Yes. I make partitions for my documents, games and other things, and barely ever touch the windows partition (only when updating windows do I really do anything to it).
 
I personally make 2 partitions, one for the OS and one for everything else.
