Hey all,

I turned on my computer this morning and my D: partition was gone, just vanished and all the associated shortcuts etc were gone too.

Just wondering if anyone has a solution for this? I went into disk management and there was no trace of the partition either.

I have some important files on the partition and really need them back.

Thanks!

When I screwed up and deleted a partition that I didn't intend to, I used TestDisk on the UBCD to restore the partition table.

However, if you didn't delete the partition, then something else is going on (hard drive failure causing corrupted partition table?), and I'm not sure that will work. Proceed carefully, and think through whatever you do thoroughly.
