ok so i have this laptop and it has a 30 gig hard drive. when i installed windows xp pro i partioned the drive to a 10 and 20 gig drive. Soooo now i'm in windows and it only sees the 10 gig part of the drive. What do i use to take advanantage of the other 20 gigs? fdisk? partion magic? partion commander?

nm. i found the ULTIMATE boot disk! and used one of the programs in there. pretty cool!. and free!

Just a note for future reference - you can use the Disk Manager in Windows XP to format partitions and such. When you installed XP on the notebook drive, the other 20 GB of the drive was left unformatted, so Windows doesn't list it under 'My Computer'

To access disk manager...
Right click My Computer -> Manage. Expand the Storage subtree, and go to Disk Management.

You can also get to it under 'Administrative Tools' -> 'Computer Management' in Control Panel.

yah i've done that before. that right click on my computer and go to manager. but i got where it was lol. thanks for the reminder dude!

Now to fill this drive up with unreal tournament stuff lol. Installing ut2004 now. hopefuly it will play... ;)
