i've got an oem hdd that i'd like to install but since it didn't come with any screws do you guys know of a good place to get them?

the Frys i went to didn't have them and i also tried RadioShack for the hell of it (no luck).

i just use regular case screws, unless your using anti vibration screws or something. did you try Microcenter if you have one near you?
 
Go to home depot or another hardware store, ask for Thread : 6-32 unc Length : 1/4" max...
 
Get 3/16 if you can. 1/4 causes interference on _some_ drives, but it's not as much of an issue as it used to be.

I remember a few years ago you could destroy a Seagate drive with 1/4" screws.

1/4 should be fine these days (just be careful and look where they are going), but it doesn't hurt to have some 3/16 long one's as well just in case.

Theres only 2 differant threads used in a case, theres the 6-32 and the M3 I think it is. you can get them at most hardware stores. M3 is used on CD/DVD drives and some motherboard standoffs, 6-32 is used about everywhere else and also some MB standoffs. Fans on the other hand use something tottally differant, I believe there #8 screws but they are special fans screws but i seen people use sheet metal screws before.
