Is it true that windows can only manage 200GB partitions? For instance, If I were to buy a 300gb hard drive, would I now have to split it into two partitions for windows to recognize it, or can I have one drive at 300GB? I have XP Home, SP2.

Thanks in advance.

48 bit LBA was added in Win2k-SP3 and WinXP-SP1. If your hardware supports it, then Windows can have a single volume up to 256 TB.

edit... doh. I've got to stop posting before reading the whole post.
