Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have a western digital 80gig special edition 8mb buffer and windows xp pro. Did a clean install of OS and I cant get my hd light to stop flashing it flashes once every second when im not even doing anything please help. Thanks
i remember when windows 95 first came out. many were wondering why is my hdd light on the chasis flshing in a repetitive interval? come to find out it was auto start. it could be somthing else, but windows does poll the cd-rom/dvd devices and this will be noticed by watching the hdd led on the chasis. you can right click on the cd-rom/dvd device and remove this, but your cd will not load a menu when you insert them. you will have to manually navigate or invoke what you want on that cd-rom.
On some motherboards, the HDD Activity light is actually a 'system activity' light - and it will flash even when your ethernet card processes a packet. See if the light stops flashing when you unplug from the internet.
