Hard Drive issue?

I have been feeling kind of annoyed by the fact that when I load songs or open my secondary hard drive through explorer it always takes about 3 - 4 seconds for the computer to respond. This goes to anything that is loaded from my secondary drive. Is this due to a sleep behavior or an issue? If so, is there any way to avoid this from happening?

After 60 minutes windows probably puts it to sleep. If you go under power options or what not, you can change this behavior to how the drive goes to sleep. That should fix the problem just turn it off for your hard drives,
 
I have the same issue. I believe it is that windows puts the into sleep mode. Does it still have the same behavior if you immediately access it a second time?

I have just decided to deal with it.......I do not use the drive so frequently, which it why it goes to sleep, anyway.
