Just installed a 2nd hard drive. I originally had a 160GB WD and I added a 120GB WD as a slave on the same line.
When I started my comp it showed I had ~250GB now its only showing 143GB(what it showed with just a 160GB)

It only showed up as one hardrive the whole time and I never restarted my comp when it dropped form the 250GB to 143GB

Make sure you set the jumpers correctly. You need to have one set to master and the other to slave.

Have you formatted the new HD?

Go into disk managment and tell us what you see.

start->settings->control panel->Administrative tools->computer management->Disk Management

Or right click on My Computer, and select "Manage", then select Storage> Disk Management.

Shortcuts are your friend.

It's not initialized. Right-click and select create volume or whatever looks like "make a partition".
