Hard drive help

In general, Seagate will not disappoint. Solid performance, pretty quiet, and the gold standard in reliability. Of those particular drives, the two 200GB drives are of the same physical structure (2x100GB platters), and they should perform about the same (I'd get get whichever is cheaper). The 250GB drive should be 2x133GB platters, and I've seen some data that suggests that the denser platters require more servo cycles to position the actuator properly, leading to a drop in performance from the 100GB platter models.

Great, thanks for the input. I was leaning toward the 200Gb anyway. If I can swing it, I might pick up 2 while I'm at it.
